ViiTor Translate is a real-time transcription and translation app for Zoom meetings. It transcribes spoken content and translates it into the language selected by each participant, helping users communicate across language barriers.
2. Who can start a translation session?
Only the Zoom meeting host can initiate a translation session using ViiTor Translate. Once started, participants can join and select their preferred translation language.
3. Can participants choose their own translation language?
Yes. Each participant can select the language they want to view the translation in, and they can change it at any time during the session.
4. What is display mode, and can I change it?
Display mode refers to how the translated content appears (e.g., bilingual, translation only, etc.). You can update your display mode anytime using the top menu bar within the app.
5. How do I install the ViiTor Translate App for Zoom?
Follow these steps to install:
- Visit the Zoom App Marketplace
- Search for "ViiTor Translate"
- Click "Install" and follow the prompts
6. Is ViiTor Translate available outside the Zoom app?
Yes. The host can share a link, allowing participants to view the translation session via a web browser — no installation required.
7. Does the translation session end automatically?
Yes. The translation session ends automatically when the Zoom meeting ends. The host can also manually end the translation session without ending the Zoom call.
8. How can I uninstall the ViiTor Translate app?
To uninstall:
- Log in to your Zoom account and go to the App Marketplace
- Click "Manage" > "Added Apps"
- Find and click "ViiTor Translate"
- Click "Remove"
9. Can participants leave the translation session on their own?
Yes. Any participant can exit the translation session at any time without affecting others.
